Byoung-Jin KIM


South Korean artist Byoung-Jin (1974) has hosted several solo exhibitions in Korea and Taiwan and joined numerous gallery group exhibitions and art fairs; he worked with some of the most prestigious commercial brands worldwide. His art serves as symbolism of consumer goods in a striking 3D display.


His work is highly decorative and requires intensive labor as it is composed of countless pieces (logos, shapes) which are made of alphabet letters, built into a main figure. In his creative process, he repeatedly sculpts multiple layers of high-quality car paint while heating his pieces in a kiln.
